Over the last three weeks we have given you some advice on how to live your life eco-friendlier. Now, we don’t expect you to have accomplished them all, but we do hope you have read the advice and it has made you think about how you can make some eco-friendly changes into your life. Over time if you keep attempting to follow these suggestions, you will find you will start being more aware and you will be living a greener life.
Our final suggestion is to live simply. Only buy what you need and reuse where you can. By buying less and reducing what you use, it means the waste you create is less. If you look around your house you will be amazed at the amount of stuff you gather, but never use. If an item hasn’t been touched or seen by you in 6 months, you should consider either giving it to someone or an opt shop, or repurposing it so it does become useful to you. With our house moving I have got rid of so much stuff. Most were sold in garage sales, which meant I benefitted from the money, but I felt a sense of relief getting rid of all the clutter. I feel more organised and I have what I need. You will be amazed at what decluttering can do for you and the environment.
